“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you show love to one another.” John 13:34-35

We seek to be a loving and caring church community, contributing our time, our resources, and our love to help and support each other in times of need.

Our Deacons’ Fund is available to provide short-term support to individuals experiencing economic hardship. It is funded fully through the anonymous generosity of our church members.

Our Called To Care Teams are groups of church members called to bring the love and peace of God to fellow members of the church in need of care and prayer, and just to create or deepen connections within our church community.

Over 40 members of our church are Called To Care volunteers! We are divided into three teams.

The visiting care team volunteers are assigned to visit those in the congregation who simply would enjoy a visit in order to make new meaningful connections within the church, and also those who are hospitalized, in a convalescent center or confined to home. Occasionally, the called to care volunteers may be able to offer respite to a family member who is a caregiver.

The transportation team is available to those in the congregation who need a ride to get to medical appointments and procedures, shopping, and Sunday worship.

The crisis cooking team is available to provide meals to those families who are affected by illness, bereavement and recuperation from surgery.

Our Prayer Chain is a network of about 20 members of our congregation who lift up in prayer the needs of the community that are brought to their attention.

Our Prayer Shawl Ministry meets every other Monday in Fellowship Hall. They provide hand-made prayer-shawls to bring the love of God and the support of the church to those who are ill, in grief, or in need of caring.

If you wish to participate in any of these Care Teams or if you or someone you know could use our presence and support, please call the church office.
